چکیده

Perinatal asphyxia is one of the leading causes of neonatal mortality in India. In addition to hypoxic-ischemic brain injury and neurological deficits, there is evidence of multi-system insult (l). Hepatic dysfunction is caused by redistributing cardiac output away from nonvital viscera to the heart, brain and adrenal glands (2). The present study was carried out to determine the extent of liver dysfunction following asphyxia.
